I have been in nursing since I entered the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska program in 1971. Both as a nursing student and then as a registered nurse, I have been in situations where patients have learned very bad news about the state of their health, news that was not received well by them, their families, or even their medical team. I have been there to listen, give moral support, and explain as they went through their medical treatment. Sometimes I gave them their ordered treatments, but sometimes the most I could do was sit beside them and put my arm around them.
In writing and putting together this website, I have had much the same feelings as I have had when caring for my patients. Except here I am giving Americans, including me, the bad news about the health of our nation. Like cancer in a patient’s body, communism or Marxism has grown in the United States. Like cancer, it started with an unnoticed seed and grew insidiously with little sign or symptom. Now like cancer, communism is on the brink of overwhelming us.
Within this website, I describe how I learned about the symptoms (the East/West Berlin page), the disease (the Intro to Manifesto, Section 1, 2, 3 & 4 of the Communist Manifesto pages), the current signs and symptoms (the Obama page), and the treatment and cure (the Constitution page). Other references for study are on the News page.
I put this website together with the same spirit that I do nursing care. As in caring for the critically ill in intensive care or in the emergency room, I am doing everything I can think of to anticipate, intervene and prevent the worst. And most of all, I keep in mind that God helps those who help themselves, and I pray.
